Happy New years Crew. AvA Records were absolutely shattered in 2009, setting the bar high for 2010.
We have several new pilots at Boston, welcome them when you get an opportunity.
Remember that when flying online (we are an online flying virtual airline), you are a good
representative of AvA. Professionalism and courtesy always. I have never heard anything but
good about our pilots. The CEO, Scott DeWoody and senior staff have set the bar higher
for online flying, please check out the AvA Flight Standards at

THE ENTIRE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2010 IS CAT FREE!
I thank each and every pilot here at Boston for your dedication to AvA.
A group flight of Boston pilots would be ideal during February, if anyone has
an idea or location, email Nick Harasym or myself. See staff page.
As a reminder, here are the CAT ratings and approved aircraft for each level:
CAT III :Captain 0-149.9hrs SF3, AT7, ER3 ERD, ER4, CR7, B738, M80/M83
CAT IV:Senior Captain 150-399.9hrs CAT III plus B752, B762, B763
CAT V :Command Captain 400-899.9hrs CAT IV plus B772, AB3
CAT VI :Fleet Captain 900+hrs Entire Fleet
If anyone has not registered in the AvA forum, it is probably a good idea to
since there is a wealth of assorted AvA crew, mgmt info, and online flying guidance , such as ACARS.
If you have a screenshot of your latest flight, the forum is an ideal place to share with your fellow
AvA pilots.
A safe and prosperous new years!

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO FLEW WE DID A GREAT JOB
Join me in congratulating Captain Nick Harasym, AAL316! Nick is selected as the new assistant hub manager for the Boston Domicile of American Virtual Airlines.
Nick has offered his experience and skills in helping me with the time sensitive managment duties of the hub.
Nick is very active pilot with the Boston Hub and possess a positive attitude and possesses good web-based technical knowledge. Nick enjoys a bad weather flying challenge; just the type of guy we need on staff to help the Boston domicile.
AVA CAT FREE EVENT-August 29-South Beach Fly In-In conjunction with Miami Live. All AVA pilots are encourage to get out and fly from KBOS to KMIA/KFLL. We will depart KBOS at 2000z.

Flights to Miami are typically the B752, however, since this is a CAT FREE Event feel free to fly ANY aircraft.
Boston, we should really make a great day with this event. Lets meet up at Terminal B about 1945Z. Please have your charts ready for KBOS and your arrival airport.
Tired of restarting a flight after a Flight Simulator or PC crash with the problem of determining exactly where you left off? Then it is time to get Autosave!
Autosave, by Pete Dowson, By default AutoSave saves a flight every 60 seconds, and keeps the
last 10 files. That is 10 minutes of flight (with the flight weather) can be instantly recovered from any of these 1 minute increments. Just place the autosave.dll in your FS modules folder. Autosave can be downloaded from Avsim.net.
Today we open the new website for Boston Hub of American Virtual Airlines. As you see, much work to be done to build up original site. Will be working on this so all pilots, current and potentially new pilots will have access to the information for the hub.
